A musical concert has been performed and attended by a huge number of audience at the unesco featuring Ziad Rahbany & the Yerevan orchestra (30th and 31th of May 2007). The concert started at 9:00 pm although it must have been started at 8:00 pm according to the concert schedule, and ended at

Ziad Rahbany - B018 Classic

Ziad will be playing every Tuesday at B0 18 Classic (Sodeco) starting this coming Tuesday 12 March. On guitar there is Rafi, and Walim Itayim. On drums, Emile Bustany. On Saxophone Nidal Abu Samra> On bass Jean Madani> And Lara Matar on vocals. The program is made up mostly of cover songs and instrumentals. Only one or two Ziad pieces will be played.

Its a good place to go and seems to be calm!

 A Collaboration with Latifa

Ziad has finished composing & writing the new album for the Algerian singer Latifa, and it was published in shops. The album is of rotana production, and it consists of 10 songs and 1 musical track by Ziad. There are 6 Lebanese songs while Egyptian ones are 4.

Ziad, the political activist, strikes back after years of silence! His newest public appearance was on Sawt el Sha3b presenting a simple analysis in a sarcastic way of the current lebanese situation. The propaganda behind "14 march movement" and the "war on terror" were the main subjects. He also pointed at some "revolutionary leaders" like Nayla Maawad and Elias Atallah.

Ziad Rahbany was last seen in the unesco palace in Beirut participating in al Sha'b Movement 6th anniversary.

Ziad in Germany?

Rumors say that Ziad Rahbany is soon moving to Germany, where he will have a fixed job with a local orchestra. Being in Germany and working there in the music industry will be a good step in his career, since he has been disappointed in Lebanon regarding the music/art domain. The information may not be true and the issue is still unclear.

Ziad new play:

Ziad's new play is a 7 years old project as said in one of his interviews. The lack of theaters in beirut (especially Hamra) and not finding a good producers for this play are some of the reasons why the play wont see light soon.
